After 20 years in the corporate sector, Rob has been directing his own Business Consultancy and focussed on enhancing sales through new insights into communications. It is the natural overlay of the Think Feel Know frameworks that creates such a powerful connection for Rob with TFK. He is a founding shareholder and Director of TFK Australia.
Prior, Rob was the Global Product Manager for a multinational corporate at its London UK office. Rob developed keen skills in communication facilitation and understanding people in a global context, overcoming natural barriers in language, nationality, background, culture, attachments and emotion. He developed an innate ability to deliver outcomes in creating and managing sales relationships, stages of product and market lifecycles, and communication engagement across stakeholders. He negotiated supply strategies in the UK, Japan, Oman and South Africa. He ran communications programs in France and the USA. He revitalised marketing strategies in Korea and India. He developed R&D programs in Germany. Launched a new product range in Egypt. He rolled out sales initiatives in China and Indonesia. Measured and monitored process improvement programs in Morocco and Brazil. Managed quality management initiatives in Dubai. Ran a distribution program in Argentina. Managed client relationships in Singapore and Malaysia.
Rob is open and engaging, and embraces the fun in learning. He is committed to presenting positive environments for the creation of the whole. He is passionate about the strength of clarity and understanding in communication, and has dedicated his time to developing these skills through an empathetic, interpersonal and natural way. He brings a vastness of knowledge and stories from around the world to inspire and support.
Rob maintains an active interest in top level football (soccer), having played to semi-professional level, and coached First Division teams in Premier League in Sydney the late 90’s.
He has a love for the ocean and the environment, which can be traced back to when he dedicated time to the preservation of Tasmania’s Franklin and Gordon rivers at the 1983 blockade. He donates his energies to local dunecare and community groups. He rides a kneeboard, drives an old 1974 Citroen DS; he cooks curries from scratch, and adores his wife and three beautiful children.
