Janet loves working with people managing change. She specialises in designing and implementing international onboarding programmes for global organisations relocating employees and families around the world. These enable people to acquire the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to make a successful international transition thus reducing the stress for the individual; and benefitting the organisation by increasing performance, engagement and retention.
During her 12 year career at The Bank of England in the City of London she worked in Financial Analysis, HR and Training. In 1998 she followed her late husband on an international assignment to Egypt and then spent 9 years living as an ex-pat moving 5 times between 4 countries. Whilst in India she founded a consultancy business offering orientation programmes, global leadership coaching and cross cultural communications training for clients such as JP Morgan, BG Group and American International schools in India and North Africa. Janet has a BSc in Psychology; is a certified counsellor; an NLP Practitioner; a licensed trainer in "Crossing Cultures with Competence" and a trained global leadership coach.
On returning to the UK in 2007 she joined Shirlaws and worked with businesses in the Thames Valley region. She has been a shareholding partner in Think Feel Know since 2009. In her spare time she enjoys the lively company of her 16 & 19 year old children; keeping in touch with her large network of friends around the world, and travelling to savour new cultures and cuisines wherever and whenever possible!
